About the Safari Tour

The Dominican Republic most tourists never see.

While most visitors stay close to the beach, the Bayahibe Safari takes you deep into the living culture of the Dominican Republic. In just a half day you will visit a working cigar factory, walk through a batey — the close-knit community where sugar cane workers and their families live — explore the market of Higüey, and stand inside one of the most important Catholic landmarks in the Caribbean.

Guided by Dario and his trusted local network, every stop is authentic. No tourist traps, no staged experiences — just the real Dominican Republic, shared with you by people who call it home.
